Divers hongkong

Two days ago,I actually staid on the peak until after sunset and actually much longer. Sunset was around 6 and only half as nice because it was very cloudy. But then I decided to stay until after the laser show of which I wrote in the last entry. it was quite cold up there on the terrace for the duration of 2 hours and the laser show was not worth it. The music which accompanies the show was just missing and the green lasers were just not visible from that angle.
I took the bus instead of tram down to central station – much cheaper.
Close to central is the mid level escalator,an 800 m long roofed, mostly covered with escalators, path to the mid levels. I ended up In a pub in the soho area. The name SoHo seems to come from it’s location: South of Hollywood road.

The day before yesterday I have mostly spent in the area where the Giant Buddha sits. In that area I walked the wisdom path, the fun path and listened to a monk ceremony. It looks like wisdom is only for Chinese as the wisdom boards are all written in Chinese signs. Not to mention The photo with the huge sitting Buddha. There was still plenty of time when I reached back to the Kowloon area. I strolled through the beautiful lit nan lian garden, ate dinner in the kowloon food district and enjoyed a few markets (flower, ladies and fa yuen) in that area. No pub that day, instead a few relaxing skypes with friends from Germany.

Yesterday I mostly hung out in the central and western district of hongkong island. There are again several markets but most impressive was the dried seafood market. Not only dried whole fish but also dried chicken (complete with legs, head, eyes, etc.) or dried pork head (eyes, mouth, nose, etc.) hung there. I found some antique non sense in the upper lascar road and saw a double storey tram in the Roads.
Later I walked through a fresh market area where I was able to witness the murder of fresh fish. On the way to the hongkong zoologic and botanic garden I glanced at the only 4 remaining gas lamps at the duddel street steps.
Finally I went to the garden. I spotted some bird, monkeys and turtles in their cages but didn’t pay attention to the flora. Listen to the audio file if your device supports it.
Just one more park that day: Hong Kong Park. A pity that the walk through aviary was already closed by the time I reached.
To give myself a rest after all that walking I spent a few hours in the hard rock café, spending a fortune and meeting british. The all Philippino life band was great! And the classic 6 Oz burger just juicy and yummy!

Today I will discover lamma island!
It’s only small but I think it will take the whole day to explore.

Thank you for reading all that dry stuff, here is your reward – some pictures:
