What the hell?

I reached safely in pattaya, the day before yesterday and found a cheap room to settle down for one night.
I headed for dinner to la baguette and an after drink at the hard rock hotel.
So far so fine!
The next morning I slept in, had a nice breakfast in the 8th road,a food massage in the 7th and set off to Bangkok in a mini van.
But stop! Didn’t I forget something in pattaya?
THE CAMERA!
I tried to arrange someone in pattaya to put the camera in the next van to Bangkok, knowing that if I have to go myself I’d miss the 9pm bus to Ko Tao.
I ended up going myself, begging the travel agency to give me a seat to Ko Tao the next day. It all worked out,I got my camera back and spent another night in pattaya having Korean bbq for dinner and an after drink at the southern beach.
Today I will not have a massage and will head to Bangkok straight away after the breakfast!
I will not miss again the bus to ko Tao. Its stupid enough that I have a full day less on this island…

You will read the next lines from ko Tao, stay tuned!

good bye ko chang

2 days ago I reached lonely beach on the island.
it was already 5 pm in the evening when I reached so there was not much more left than watching the sunset, joining the bbq and watching the avengers on a huge silver screen by the beach.
I have been on the highest peak of the islands yesterday.it all was part of a guided trek. the guide really worried about us, as he provided lunch and 2 liters beverages per person for the march to the   750 meter high peak. however the view was not as good as expected as many trees obstructed the sight. anyways there were a few nice viewpoints on the way! The way down was slightly different and some times very steep. so steep that we had to slide down on our bottoms (my trouser was unthankfully). we stopped at a natural pool to get rid of the sweat produced in produced during the steep climb.
I have been damn tired in the evening but still didn’t want to miss the great Friday night beach party! I gave up at 1 am and fell asleep even though I could hear the music clearly in my hut.
Today started pretty easy and late. at noon I decided to go to the tree top adventure park. it is a kind of a tree top climbing park. the climbing was pretty easy and safe. one game up in the trees was riding on a bike, another one was skating on a skateboard and another one was a very long zip line amongst others. pretty much of fun!
just beside the adventure park was lisca beach,a truly lonesome beach with less people. I spent the hours until after sunset there in a hammock reading a book and  washing off the sweat in the sea.
pretty much the last activity on the island was again watching a movie by the beach accompanied by a bbq potato.
tomorrow I will be off to pattaya!

off to khao yai national park

the dinner cruise yesterday was just amazing. a hell lot of international food, a huge desert buffet, mocktails, life music and the city of Bangkok passing slowly at the side if the boat – almost too romantic!

after this relaxing setting some clubbing was on the program. awesome dj, awesome club, awesome people!

I planned to leave to the national  park at 8am today but I didn’t recognise my alarm. now I it is 11.30 and the mini bus should leave soon. I hope to spot some wildlife out there!
stay tuned, I try to life blog when I take the picture of the elefant.

the chao phraya dinner cruise

yesterday morning was the Bangkok jj weekend market on the program. I found some fried insects and maggots ready to eat…but I didn’t try. after such a long period of “window shopping” it was necessary to relax in the greenish park close by.
the way down to the golden mountain was quite hard and I twice thought the taxi driver want to rob me. both didn’t speak English well and when I tried to confirm the destination I just heard a dirty laugh coming from the driver.
anyways I didn’t find the golden mountain but another park just above the grand palace. the park was good for another short rest.
I ended up in the khao San road, well known for the back packer hotels and bars before I entered the Bangkok club scene. Bobby was last nights companion.

a taxi brought me directly to the golden mountain this morning. they have actually nice drums and bells up there!
I visited the large swing on the way to the grand palace.the way was not worth it a the palace was closed by the time I reached.
some more window shopping at the mbk, mall of Bangkok. I found out that my camera is actually cheaper in Thailand than in India.

tonight is the dinner cruise mentioned in the headline. they offer a great international buffet and nice views of Bangkok from the river.
I might have a Thai massage just after the cruise.

pictures of three last days, enjoy:

Live music at hard rock café Bangkok

The first day in Bangkok is nearly over. After some rest in the afternoon I decided to do some temple hopping by the river. For dinner I ended up in hrc. I decided not to stay too long but then they started to play live music which is why I am still here.
Remarks to my first day here:
– people using the sky train know that people first have to leave the train before more people can enter it
– ordering food is kinda hard, unknown letters everywhere
– they have bike transport, I was thinking he is kidnaping me

Off to Bangkok

Thank you my dear friends in India for all the smiles, experiences and adventures you gave me in this country with the most different faces!

The ride to Mumbai last night was rather sleepless because the broken shock absorbers made me jump in my bunk bed throughout the whole night.
Anyways the day in Mumbai was quite relaxing with some sights and a sunset on marine drive.
Dinner was at the restaurant “pizza at the bay”

And the desert from café Leopolds. It was some kalhua mousse where kalhua means dark. Amazing! I’d give it the second name, heart attack on a plate!

Good bye India, I will definitely come back sooner or later!

Welcome to 2013

Happy new year everyone!

The last 3 days were utilized with awesome food and drinks in the shade by the beach, playing with the waves (vice versa) and less sightseeing in goa.
I spent new years eve on the beach and watched an overwhelming firework just after midnight. The party in a beach shack afterwards was ok. The day after on 1st night I went to curlies on anjuna beach where I had  a most amazing party. Quite tired back at the hotel at 4.40 am.

Today I am off to Mumbai my last stop in this divers country of India.
Hopefully the sleeper bus is most comfortable.

Enjoy the goa pictures:
